Recap

Pat Baker was our hostess for the Myrtle Beach reunion, with a little assistance
   from her hubbie, Gary.

The weather was great, with warm days and cool nights. Most attendees had
arrived by Monday afternoon and most gathered in the hospitality room to chat
    with friends and shipmates.

Tuesday morning we boarded our bus and travelled Wilmington, NC to tour
the Battleship North Carolina BB-55. The tour was self-guided and we were able
to roam the ship from the Main Deck down. Unfortunately all the supestructure
above the Main Deck was blocked off for maintenace, but it was still a very
interesting experience. After the battleship we crossed the bridge to downtown
Wilmington for a delicious lunch at The German Cafe, then back to Myrtle
   Beach.

Wednesday began with a visit to the beautiful Brookgreen Gardens and Low
Country Zoo. Then in late afternoon we boarded the paddle boat Barefoot
   Queen
for a two hour dinner cruise on the Intracoastal Waterway

Thursday was a trip through Murrells Inlet Marsh aboard the pontoon boat
The Explorer. The boat grounded on a sand spit so we could go ashore and
   search for seashells.
