| The above painting was submitted by the artist William (Bill) H. RaVell III, retired U. S. Coast Guard Chief Warrant Officer and now a full time marine artist. Several years ago he was commissioned by General Dynamics to paint a portrait of the Cruiser Topeka and one of the Submarine Topeka. Both of these paintings were presented to the commanding officer of the sub as part of the commissioning ceremony and now hang in her wardroom. |
