The Plainsman was a news magazine, anywhere from 7 to 25 pages, published aboard Topeka. It contained items of interest to the crew, such as messages from the CO and Department heads, Sailors of the Month, promotions, upcoming deployments, etc. A few of these are reproduced here, including excerpts from the first issue in 1960 and the last issue in 1969.
